My art is selfish, I make my films for myself. Now, more than ever, I use my art as a way to express myself and process the world around me. I often pull from the past in order to create for the future. Playing with filmmaking, appropriated footage, mixed media. I keep a consistent stylistic tone and aesthetic. I have always been drawn to the strange and macabre. I like deer hunting in Vermont, and I hate the sound of flies buzzing. My trans, lesbian identity and experiences are the driving force through my art, and I will tear at my skin until it bleeds. I believe angels walk among us but I don’t believe in god. My biggest influence has always been those I care about, who are closest to me. Their art makes me want to keep creating my own art. And I will keep creating art filled with spite and resistance.

Now more than ever, stories about the Transgender experience are not just relevant but critical. This film is one of love, hate, rage, and survival. It proves that bigotry is a choice. And loving your child for all of their flaws will ultimately be what saves their life.

For my Capstone Film, in this psychological body horror short, a Trans boy winds up back in his rural southern hometown. Forced back into his estranged Father's life, they must both confront their fears, as they undergo transformations that challenge their relationship and reality itself.
